Code of Ethics Monitor

November 2001 - March 2002
Created an application used to monitor the in-house Code of Ethics rules for hedge fund type companies in order to be compliant with SEC rules. This program permits/denies an employee the ability to trade a stock based on the rules set by the company. It also monitors to make sure that compliance is met after the fact and provides reports to use by the company to show proof of compliance to regulatory bodies. Maintenance continues on this product.

DEC Black Box

FSG Middleware

Created an application used for maintaining a common view among trading systems for administrators and users. This product allows multiple trading platforms to combine their activity into a common database. The application then shows the common view to the trader. The application also allows trades to be sent to the platforms, if possible.

gr8Trade

Created a trading application used by the day-trading industry. This application is a client/server setup that displays market data from multiple sources and allows orders to be sent to different exchanges. The application is very robust and incorporates many new ideas to make the program faster and more efficient, since the data is a streaming real-time data feed. The client runs on a Windows front-end and the servers are all written for Windows, as well.

Created a new trading application used by a diverse type company that has multiple types of traders, including day-traders. This application is much more versatile than gr8Trade because it allows for multiple types of front-ends. This application also collects market data from multiple sources and allows trading on multiple exchanges. This system is designed with multiple entry points for the order execution system in order to allow different types of third-party applications to also use the order routing system. Maintenance continues on this product.

Created a software piece which monitors for REGNMS. This piece connects to all equity centers required by REGNMS. It also receives data directly from all equity data centers. The operation of the software consists of receiving an order and routing to current best prices for that order. It creates a snapshot of the market conditions at the time of each round of orders in order to show the validation process.

WatchCat

Created an application to monitor positions of an account and make sure that the positions do not get out of control in losses. The application will actually keep track of the profit/loss of an account. When certain rules are reached, the application will send messages and even send orders in order to keep losses to a certain level. Any type of client can connect to this server to monitor the activity. Maintenance continues on this product.
